The Precise Place

What is the process?

Complimentary 30 minute in-person or phone consultation in which we will discuss the concerned space and what the goals are for the area. Measurements and pictures will be taken or provided for the space for planning purposes. Then we will decide the best rate or package that aligns with your needs and book your session(s).

How involved will I be in the process?

Each space is different and most of the time, I need some of your input to know which items we keep vs. donate. I will never remove an item from your home unless I am instructed to do so and I will never pressure you to get rid of anything. I will, however, restate our project goals, and if getting rid of excess was a goal, I will do my best to help you achieve that. With most clients, I remove all the items from a particular space, throw away trash, sort like items and at that point, they can work alongside me in purging as we sort or I leave “homework” for the client to determine which items stay or go before our next session. The level of participation is at the discretion of each individual client.

Why hire a professional organizer? Can’t I do it on my own?

Most of our clients come to us after a long battle of trying to organize their space and being unsuccessful in doing so. Time, energy, focus. There are so many obstacles that stand in the way of starting and finishing a project. Hiring a professional organizer gives you encouragement to visualize a space in a different way, implement the customized systems that are established, and keeps your spirits uplifted while moving through the project in a timely fashion. Another added benefit is the one-on-one coaching on how to maintain your organized space long after our project is complete!

Do session prices include organizing products?

No, but if you decide that you would like to use storage bins, shelving, containers etc. they will only be purchased within the agreed upon budget for those supplies. Shopping for products will be an additional charge of $25/hr. Organizing products are never required and many times we are able to use the storage systems you already own.
